The Big FloodOn Friday morning I was in bed asleep. Then I heard a sound. It was a great big sound. I jumped up with a fright. I got out of my bed and I went to the window. I saw the heaviest rain I have ever seen in my life. It was so loud. It woke me up. I went outside to check the flood.
It was all over the place. I felt scared. My hands were shaking and my legs were like jelly.
Next I had a shower. It was nice and warm. After that we watched tv all day. Finally we had to go to bed. It was
still raining but not as hard as in the morning. I hoped we were going to be safe, sleeping in our house.
